Justice S.D. Anand

A former judge of Punjab & Haryana High Court, Justice S.D. Anand has a lot of experience under his belt. He was appointed as the Judicial Member of the Central Administrative Tribunal at the Chandigarh Bench for a period of three years. He is also a former Chairman of the Fee and Admission Committee of Haryana. Adding to his vast experience, he also held the position of President, Appellate Authority of the Haryana State Pollution Board for a tenure of three years. He spent some time as the Co-Chairman of the Institutional Ethics Committee in Chandigarh. He worked with the Government of India as the Director, Legal Affairs in the Department of Law and Justice and Company Affairs. During that period, he handled the instructional part of the Bhopal Gas Tragedy case. He has also been empanelled as an Arbitrator by the Punjab & Haryana High Court and Delhi High Court. He has some published works as well which touch upon the different facets of the Justice delivery system: a) The Other Facet; b) Baring the Truth – The Prism of Mine; and c) Existential Dilemma of Justice Delivery System.

Justice Subodh Shah

Justice Subodh Shah is the former judge of the High Court of Gujarat. He was the first advocate to adopt computer technology as early as the year 1985 and has been instrumental in implementing the project of computerization in New Gujarat High Court Complex, Supreme Court of India, Madras High Court, all districts of Gujarat, and the entire judiciary- all courts in India through E- Committee. He is a member of the Standing Committee of the Supreme Court of India for monitoring E- Committee for computerization of the entire judiciary in the country. He has developed the concept of e-Court for the first time in India. He has exercised limited powers for interlocutory orders as per the Supreme Court of India Rules, 1966, while on deputation with SCI for the e-court project. He has also addressed scientists of Forensic Science at Kolkata in a National Conference and attended the ‘Asia Pacific Conference, 2010’ in Singapore. During his career as a judge and as an advocate, he has handled several Lok Adalat and mediation cases. He has experience of practice in almost all areas of law, including civil, revenue, constitutional, criminal, etc. As a City Civil & Sessions Judge, he has dealt with several civil and criminal matters and has decided 1388 cases in 174 days. On the other hand, as a CBI Judge, he has dealt with several complex matters and decided 88 cases in 138 days, decided more than 200 discharge applications and examined 272 witnesses and lastly as Judge of Gujarat High Court, he has dealt with matters of almost all subjects and delivered approximately 19832 judgments in 1260 days.

Justice Alok Verma

Justice Alok Verma’s work experience started way back in 1981. He joined the Madhya Pradesh State Lower Judicial Service. He worked as a Judicial Magistrate First Class and Chief Judicial Magistrate till 1994. In the same year he was promoted to Additional/District and Sessions Judge in Higher Judicial Service where he worked till June, 2014. In the same month, he took oath as Judge of Madhya Pradesh High Court. He worked as the Competent Authority and the Chief Vigilance Officer of Madhya Pradesh Housing Board for three years. He also worked as Deputy Secretary in Law and Legislative Affairs Department, Government of Madhya Pradesh and as the Deputy Registrar at the National Judicial Academy, Bhopal. He held a couple more positions while working with the Government of Madhya Pradesh. He was the Commissioner of the Departmental Enquiries and later the Director (Prosecution). As post retirement assignment, he worked as the Appellate Authority, Admission and Fee Regulatory Committee, Bhopal, for three years from March 2018 to March 2021.
