Sambhav Initiative is a Pan India initiative which is launched by Sambhavya Federation of Transformation, a non -profit company registered under Section 8 of the Companies Act,2013. It provides free legal aid, works towards shattering mental health taboos, and endeavors to achieve Goal 16 of SDG (Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions).
We, at Sambhav Initiative, firmly believe that conflict is inevitable but combat is optional and the best way to resolve conflicts is through effective dialogue. It is with the seeds of this thought in mind that we make sure that the parties have ample opportunity to reduce hostility, possess a sense of control, gain acceptance of the outcome, resolve conflicts amicably and ensure that a greater sense of justice prevails in each case.
Sambhav Initiative, firmly also believes that Education is the mightiest weapon that can be used to change the shape of this nation. Therefore, it provides training and education to different groups of society like law students, police, transgender, teenagers, housewives, and old age people. The Sambhav Initiative aims to become the voice of the vulnerable, unseen or unheard.
At Sambhav, we weave compassion with grit and determination to ensure we're rising by lifting others. With our winning attitude, futuristic thinking, and a burst of creative potential, we give wings to justice.
Driven by the passion to 'Deliver more than what's expected', Sambhav Initiative aims to enable a harmonious resolution of conflicts through the Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) mechanism, ensure a fair inclusion of all disadvantaged groups, become the torchbearer of Mental Health awareness, encourage people to follow 'self-reliance' as their roadmap to success, equip them with free legal aid, fulfill Goal 16 of the Sustainable Development Goals (Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions) and empower every citizen of India with its pillars of compassion, acceptance, respect, and sincerity.
Sambhav Initiative has formulated a 3 R’s prototype -Reach Out, Rescue, Rapport. It shall act as a guiding light to impact as many lives as possible and plant the seeds of faith and confidence.
Connecting with the masses from every nook and corner of the country, sowing the seeds of harmony in them, and encouraging them to approach their conflicts with a cooperative mindset instead of hostility.
Establishing cordial relations with people from all walks of life, collectively intertwining justice with human rights, and ensuring efficient access to the former through pro-bono legal services, in a bid to minimize the burden of the judiciary.
Rescuing people from the fangs of mental illnesses, unshackling them from the stigma surrounding mental health issues, increasing mental health literacy across the length and breadth of the country, and raising legal awareness through free legal aid campaigns.
- To transform society's distorted perception of justice and mental health.
- To widen the opportunities, and deepen the convictions of people by helping and encouraging them to embrace the methods of Alternative Dispute Resolution for resolving their disputes.
- To enhance access to justice through mediation, negotiation, arbitration, and conciliation.
- To tell people that mental health illnesses don't make them weak and it's the fight that makes them strong, having more unashamed conversations on the same and working relentlessly towards spreading Mental Health Awareness.
- To uphold the integrity of Indian citizens by preaching, practicing, and preserving the Constitutional values.
- To make people 'Atmasaksham' or 'self-reliant' by organizing various legal aid campaigns and making them aware of different social justice legislations such as Fundamental Rights, Right to Information, Citizen Rights, Vis-a-vis Policing, Gender Laws, Child Rights, Labour Laws, and a lot more. Our motto is to enlighten the community about their rights and duties, empower them by instilling the virtue of self-reliance in them, and work diligently for the collective good of all.
- To organize legal aid camps, especially in rural areas, slums, and labour colonies, with the dual objective of educating the weaker sections of the society regarding their rights and encouraging them to unanimously settle their disputes through Lok Adalats.
- To take appropriate measures to spread legal awareness and legal literacy among the citizens of India and, in particular, to educate the weaker sections of the society about the rights, benefits, and privileges guaranteed by the various social welfare legislations.
- Take special efforts to enlist the support of voluntary social welfare institutions functioning at the grass-root level, particularly for the marginalized sections of the society like women, children, and laborers.
- To conduct empirical research through interviews and questionnaires with the intention to understand the ground realities and prepare detailed reports based on them.
By devoting itself to the service of mankind and helping people even when they can't help themselves, Sambhav Initiative sets an example of how ‘selfless giving’ is the real art of living.
By becoming that weighing scale that measures Equity and Justice at par, Sambhav Initiative ensures equal rights, liberties and opportunities for all.
Knowing that the core values of the Constitution are the key components in the march towards a stronger nation, Sambhav Initiative cherishes, safeguards and preaches them far and wide.
